We at The Structures Company have an opportunity for you as a Materials & Processes Engineer ! As a Materials and Processes Engineer focused on metallic materials and process, you will be responsible for coordinating and conducting various metallic materials engineering testing to develop material & processing to meet stringent requirements per Space Flight Systems.
- Under senior technical leader guidance, you will develop and refine material and process requirements across multiple programs and Author materials and processing specifications.
- Develop and review process specifications, part drawings, and other documents, including supplier auditing.
- Working with team members and leadership, you will Interact with stakeholders in Manufacturing, Engineering, and other departments for various projects.
This opportunity is Hybrid, 4 days a week onsite in Tustin, CA and one day working remote
Pay Rate : Up to $85 / HR
What You Bring
- A Bachelor’s degree from an ABET, or equivalent, accredited institution with a concentration in a relevant metallic materials discipline with minimum 8 years aerospace working experiences.
- Familiarity with aerospace metallic materials, such as Aluminum, CRES, Titanium, etc and processes.
- Proven ability to communicate technical concepts to different audiences.
Preferred Skills and Experience
- Familiar with metallic material characterization.
- Extensive Experience with metallic material processing, especially vendor and industry auditing.
- Familiar with aerospace fasteners.
