Summary :

Group Manufacturing Services, a well-established contract manufacturer with over 30 years of experience, is seeking a highly motivated and experienced CNC Press Brake Operator to join our growing team.

We operate a state-of-the-art fabrication and machine shop, producing a diverse range of precision sheet metal components for our clients.

This lead role plays a vital role in ensuring the efficiency, quality, and safety of our press brake operations.

Responsibilities :

• Leadership :
• Foster a positive and productive work environment within the press brake area.
• Prioritize workload to optimize production flow.
• Provide performance feedback and identify opportunities for continuous improvement within the team.
• Operations :
• Operate CNC press brake machines to bend and form complex sheet metal parts according to blueprints and specifications.
• Set up and program CNC press brakes.
• Select and install appropriate tooling for different bending operations.
• Verify bend accuracy using precision measuring tools and ensure parts meet all quality requirements.
• Identify and troubleshoot machine malfunctions, performing basic maintenance tasks as needed.
• Continuously develop and refine press brake setup and operation procedures to improve efficiency and quality.
• Quality & Safety :
• Implement and maintain a strong focus on quality control within the press brake area.
• Conduct regular inspections to ensure all parts meet specifications.
• Enforce all safety protocols and procedures, leading by example.
• Identify and address potential safety hazards within the work environment.

Qualifications :

• Minimum of 5 years of experience as a CNC Press Brake Operator.
• Proven expertise in CNC press brake operation, setup, and programming. Amada experience is a plus.
• Strong understanding of sheet metal bending principles and best practices.
• Excellent leadership and communication skills
• Excellent attention to detail and commitment to achieving the highest quality standards.
• Ability to work independently and take initiative while also collaborating effectively as part of a team.
• Strong safety awareness with a proven track record of prioritizing safety in the workplace.
• Basic math skills and ability to perform calculations for bend set-up.
