About The Position

Job Summary :

The Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) provides specialized respiratory care to neonatal and pediatric patients across critical care and intensive care units. This role requires advanced clinical expertise in invasive and non-invasive ventilation, patient management in high-acuity settings, and collaboration within multidisciplinary care teams.

Job Requirements

Key Responsibilities

Deliver comprehensive respiratory care, including vent management, intubations, extubations, suctioning, and therapeutic treatments

Manage pediatric patients on invasive and non-invasive ventilation modalities including Servo I, Servo U, LTVs, Astral, Trilogy, Oscillators, CPAP, BiPAP, RAM cannula, NAVA ventilation, PEP, and INO

Provide care for tracheostomy patients and support advanced respiratory therapies in PICU and NICU settings

Float between pediatric cardiac, medical, surgical ICUs, and Level IV NICU as needed based on census

Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and allied health professionals to ensure high-quality patient outcomes

Document all care accurately using Epic Clin Doc (preferred)

Qualifications

Education :

• Associate’s Degree in Respiratory Therapy (minimum)

Licensure / Certification :

NBRC Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) – required

Current WI Respiratory Care License – required

AHA BLS, AHA PALS, and NRP certifications – required

Experience : 3–5 years in pediatric critical care or NICU (must be able to function in both PICU and Level IV NICU)
