Minimum 1+ years special education experience required.
We are looking for a dedicated Special Education Teacher for a full-time position in a school district with a strong reputation for supporting both staff and students.
This position is for the 2024-2025 academic year and involves working with a K-5th grade caseload.

Job Details :
- Onsite near the East Haven, Connecticut area
- Start ASAP
- 37.5 guaranteed service hours per week
students / sites and caseload information will be discussed more in depth with special services' director during interview
Requirements :
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education (or related field)
- Valid state (CT) teaching certification / license in Special Education.
- Prior experience working with students with special needs in inner city is preferred
- Strong knowledge of special education laws, regulations, and best
Responsibilities :
- Develop and implement individualized education programs (IEPs) for students with special needs
- Provide specialized instruction and support to help students achieve academic and social goals
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to create a nurturing learning environment
- Adapt teaching methods and materials to accommodate diverse learning styles and abilities
- Assess student progress and adjust instructional strategies accordingly
