Flexible schedule that allows you to pick your rate PRN - Tele Tier Plan available - Flexible Schedule Tier 1 : Base rate off experience, 3 shifts in a 6 week schedule Tier 2 : $40 / hr for 6 shifts in a 6 week schedule Tier 3 : $45 / hr for 12 shifts in a 6 week schedule Tier 4 : $50 / hr for 18 shifts in a 6 week schedule Shift Differentials also apply for nights and weekends The competent Nurse, in the same or similar clinical setting, practices independently and demonstrates an awareness of all relevant aspects of a situation.

Provides routine and complex care, with the ability to on long-range goals or plans. Continues to develop the ability to cope with and manage contingencies of clinical nursing.

Makes appropriate assignments and delegates to other care providers as a means to help manage the clinical situation. This position is specific to the Labor and Delivery Department.

Consistent with the ANA Scope and Standards of Practice, provides nursing care utilizing the nursing process, including assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention and evaluation for assigned patients.

• Documents patient history, symptoms, medication, and care given.
• Assess learning needs and provides education to patients, family members and / or care givers; CORE COMPETENCIES Standard I : Utilizes the Nursing Process
• Uses critical thinking skills to assess the basic physical, psychosocial, social, cultural, spiritual, and development needs of patient and families
• Communicates findings to appropriate healthcare team members

• Implements patient care and therapeutic procedures; monitors and documents progression of treatment and teaching goals
• Evaluates the care and treatment(s) provided to the patient and the patient response to the care and treatment(s)

• Relates examples of mis-readings or misinterpretations and lessons learned
• Reviews, discusses and validates own interpretation with others Patient Safety

Requirements : Experience : 1 year of experience in the related nursing specialty preferred. Education : Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing, preferred All newly hired experienced RNs must attend New Nurses Orientation within the first 30 days of hire.

New hires are precepted by a designated trained staff member and initial on-boarding requirements are validated through successful completion of the designated organizational entry competency validation and a Perinatal Department -specific competency validation.

Licenses / Certifications / Registrations : BLS required 1 year of acute hospital experience preferred RN License in state of employment or compact Current certification from NCC Electronic Fetal Monitoring (C-EFM) or one of the following AWHONN courses : within 90 days of hire for new graduates and experienced nurses new to the specialty then required to maintain course certification thereafter.
