Engineering Manager
Engineering Manager - Onsite in Cary, IL
Are you an experienced engineering leader with a passion for driving innovation and ensuring top-tier product quality? Prequel is seeking candidates for a full time Engineering Manager position with an established manufacturing organization in Cary, IL.
In this role you’ll lead a dynamic engineering team, collaborating closely with sales, manufacturing, and quality assurance to deliver high-performance solutions.
What You’ll Do :
- Supervise and mentor the engineering design team, ensuring adherence to project schedules.
- Oversee design reviews, ensuring they meet customer specifications, company engineering standards, and cost requirements.
- Lead product development and process improvement initiatives, driving innovation and operational efficiency.
- Work directly with the Director of Engineering to develop and enforce policies, ensuring compliance with ISO 9001 standards.
- Collaborate with sales to provide designs and samples to support business growth.
- Review and address customer returns (RMAs) to identify root causes and implement corrective actions.
- Maintain a safe, secure, and productive work environment by adhering to company policies.
What You Bring :
- 8-10 years of experience in a manufacturing environment with leadership responsibilities.
- Strong problem-solving, data analysis, and report writing skills.
- Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Proven ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment, consistently meeting project deadlines.
- Process-driven, with a keen attention to detail.
Qualifications :
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering (BSME).
- Proficiency in SolidWorks, DraftSight, and Microsoft Office suite.
- Knowledge of FEA Solid Flow and GD&T is a plus.
- Experience with MRP / ERP systems.
- Engineer to Order, Low Volume High Mix Environment experience is a plus.
