Responsibilities ICU, MICU, SICU, TICU, CVTICU, Neuro ICUFull Time 3x12 hrs. - Days / Nights or Nights only The George Washington University Hospital is seeking dedicated and skilled Registered Nurses (RNs) to join our Intensive Care Units team.

Our ICU is comprised of specialized units including the Medical ICU (MICU), Surgical ICU (SICU), Cardiovascular ICU (CVICU), Cardiothoracic (CT) ICU, Neuro ICU, and Trauma ICU (TICU).

This diverse array of ICUs allows our nursing staff the opportunity to work across a variety of critical care environments, honing their skills and contributing to high standards of patient care.

Main tasks includes : Act as a liaison for patients and the families of patientsRespecting the rights and beliefs of patientsMonitor care that patients receive by helping and interceding for patients in situations that require action immediately.

Represent the patient according to their choice.Provide support and education that will help patients and care partners make the best decisions possible.

Integrates a patient centered approach involving the patient and family into the plan of care.Provide safe, competent nursing care for patients in accordance with facility policies, standards, and philosophy.
