Your Role & Responsibilities :

As a School Social Worker, you will play a crucial role in supporting students' emotional and social development. Your key responsibilities will include :

• Individual and Group Counseling : Provide individual and group counseling services to students dealing with personal, social, and academic challenges.
• Crisis Intervention : Respond to crises and provide immediate support to students and families in need.
• Collaboration : Work collaboratively with teachers, administrators, and parents to create a supportive educational environment.
• Resource Coordination : Assist families in accessing community resources and support services.
• IEP Participation : Participate in the development and implementation of Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) for students with special needs.

What You Need to Succeed :

• Certification : A valid Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL) with a School Social Worker endorsement.
• Education : A Master's degree in Social Work (MSW) from an accredited program.
• Experience : Previous experience in a school setting or working with children and families is preferred.
• Background Check : Must pass the Illinois state background clearance process.
• LARA License : Must hold a valid Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) or be in the process of obtaining it.
