Responsibilities :
- Handle a caseload of civil litigation cases
- Conduct legal research and prepare legal documents such as pleadings, motions, and discovery requests
- Represent clients in court proceedings and negotiations
- Collaborate with other attorneys and staff to develop case strategies and achieve the best possible outcomes for clients
- Maintain regular communication with clients, providing them with updates on their cases
Essential Job Functions :
- Analyze complex legal issues and provide sound legal advice to clients
- Prepare and present oral and written arguments in court
- Conduct depositions and interviews with witnesses and experts
- Review and analyze medical, financial, and other records related to cases
- Attend mediation sessions, settlement conferences, and trials as required
Skills :
- JD degree from an accredited law school and admitted to practice law in Washington
- 3+ years of experience with personal injury defense, construction defect, or civil litigation
- Strong research, analytical, and communication skills
- Knowledge of applicable laws, regulations, and legal procedures
