This is a Nurse Leadership position who reports directly to the Director of Nursing. Ideal candidates will have a desire to ensure resident and family satisfaction through exceptional customer service skills.
Candidates must possess a current unencumbered PA Registered Nurse License and successfully complete the pre-employment process.

DUTIES INCLUDE :
New Admissions & Discharges
- Ensure all needs of the new resident and family are met
- Oversee to make sure all discharge processes are completed
- Completes New Admission interview / checklist
Supervision & Development of Nurses
- Oversees the nurses working within the community, trains and teaches as needed to ensure quality professional nurses
- Ensures Neighborhood Nurses have all tools available and needed to provide quality home-like care and supports a Resident Centered Care’ model
- Supports the CNAs and Nurses to make sure the residents receive quality care, meal service, activities to have a meaningful life living at RMV
Clinical Responsibilities
- Keep Infection Control logs and monitors progress
- Follow up on pharmaceutical recommendations and monitors medication errors
- Manages any wound or skin integrity issues within the Community
- Supports the Medical Director and ensures his recommendations or concerns are followed up on
- Investigates any allegations of abuse, complaints, or narcotic concerns
- Supports, revises, or works to make sure Policies and Procedures are in place for best practices with the support of the Director of Nursing
- Writes and meets on Care Plans one afternoon per week for residents within the Community
- Supervises Incoming & Outgoing Narcotic Drugs
Leadership
- Communicates timely to the Director of Nursing any concerns in compromised care concerns or complaints
- Serves as the lesion for Residents, Families, or visitors when there are concerns or compliments
- Supports all team members working within the community to resolve conflict, develop standards, and create a positive professional place for the residents to live.
- Interview new team members for their community
Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON) Qualifications
- Must have active RN license
- 2 years experience in a nursing leadership position
- 2 years experience in a long-term care setting, skilled nursing preferred
