JOB SUMMARY

Matheson ASU Engineering is actively seeking an energetic and knowledgeable individual to fill the Electrical Engineer position in our Irving, Texas office.

The successful candidate will lead the electrical engineering design of large scale 480V to 15kV power systems. Duties include the development of standard professional electrical engineering design deliverables including performing engineering calculations, engineered drawings and documents, equipment specification, construction support, functional checkout support, and system commissioning support.

This is a senior level position that requires the ability to work independently without supervision with a high level of accountability.

Essential Functions

Essential Function

• Perform load calculations, circuit and conductor sizing calculations, protective device coordination studies, arc flash calculations, etc.
• Complete power distribution plan designs, single-line drawings, grounding plans, panel schedules, cable schedules, cable tray layouts, lighting plans, control narratives, control schematics, interconnect diagrams, heat trace drawings, etc.
• Develop equipment data sheets, bill of materials, single line diagrams etc.
• Cost and schedule estimating and RFQ development, review and approval.
• Lead equipment installation quality assurance inspections.
• Assist with marketing and business development of Company services.
• Additional duties as assigned, i.e. factory acceptance testing, vendor qualification audits.
