What We Offer
This is an on-call position, which means it is a part-time, hourly role. This position will work no more than 34 hours per week.
The hiring pay range for this position $21.47 / hour - $26.84 / hour, based on experience, and is eligible to enroll in the City and County of Denver’s 457b retirement plan.
This position is not eligible for other additional benefits. On call positions may have routine or variable work schedules.

What You'll Do
The City and County of Denver’s (DPR) Outdoor Recreation Team has an exciting and unique job opportunity for a part-time .
The GOCO Grant Administrative Support Assistant will work as a liaison between DPR, the coalition, and community-based collaborators. GOCO’s mission is
The GOCO Grant Administrative Support Assistant will be responsible for :
Facilitating the administrative process to help reach grant goals of DPR, GOCO, and partner organizations with My Outdoor Colorado grant.
Fiscal monitoring and reporting including tracking expenses, processing monthly invoices for all partners, creating, and documenting purchase requisitions, and seeking either reimbursement or advancement of funds from the grantor.
Creating and synthesizing partner data reports for My Outdoor Colorado Coalition to show work completion to GOCO.
Completing funder required project modifications for changes to projects and budget.
Partnering with Denver Parks and Recreation leadership and contract team for contract review and approval.
Completing annual reimbursement request for the My Outdoor Colorado grant which includes documenting and review of itemized receipts for all expenses incurred by each agency partner.
Oversee budget and grant balance to ensure partner agencies are on track to meet budget expenditures
Communication and oversight of agency programs / pathways monthly reporting
Development of community Gear Library process and procedures
Support Gear Library implementation for GOCO project and inventory tracking.
DPR marketing and communication support.
Support community events organization
Support outreach and communication efforts to expand program.

Additionally, our ideal candidate will have :
Experience with accounts payable, creating purchase requisitions, and budget management, preferably within local government.
Demonstrated expertise in budget and grant management, reporting, and oversight.
Advanced knowledge of Excel, PowerPoint, and Microsoft Word.
The ability to influence and hold others accountable.
Effective written and verbal communication.
Strong attention to detail and organization

Required Minimum Qualifications
Education requirement : Graduation from high school or the possession of a GED, HiSET or TASC Certificate.
Experience Requirement : Three (3) years of full performance office support / clerical work (type and level of an Administrative Support Assistant III).
Education / Experience Equivalency : Additional appropriate education may be substituted for the minimum experience requirement.
Licensure / Certifications : Requires certification in CPR and First Aid at the time of application or by the completion of probation.
Licenses and certifications must be kept current as a condition of employment.
