In this role you will :

  • Lead, develop, mentor and train the US Talent Acquisition team
  • Own operational recruitment and be accountable for the alignment to performance-related strategic talent acquisition and global HR KPI's
  • Adopt a regional or country approach to talent activation, from early career / interns to professional hires, including how we build and promote our employer branding and attract diverse candidates to Swiss Re.
  • Evolve and improve talent acquisition processes and delivery through various sourcing methodology and channels
  • Promote an environment of constant enhancements to our processes and success, shaping our services to the needs of the business
  • Be a mentor for team members and encourage them to find alternatives, develop sourcing strategies and solutions
  • Adapt, implement and adopt various recruitment projects and initiatives for the US in line with global processes with other regional Talent Acquisition Heads and Global Talent Acquisition
  • Establish and maintain open and regular communication and provision of metrics with HR colleagues and key customers
  • Handle key business partners, acting as the critical issue point of contact for any related topics
  • Apply a commercial mind-set to ensure that recruitment is delivered in the most efficient and cost-effective way while achieving hiring excellence and candidate experience
  • Responsible for mitigating risk relevant in recruiting (implement the compliance of all internal and external regulations concerning recruitment, partner with the legal department to guarantee compliance with local legislations)
  • Provide subject matter expertise to global and regional recruitment topics

About the Team

The team, based across the US and administrative support in Mexico, owns and executes through a 360-recruitment cycle. The team consists of recruiters who maintain control over the end-to-end recruitment process up until offer letter creation and onboarding, and one colleague in Mexico handling administrative support, such as interview scheduling and complex candidate travel arrangements.

The team provides a dedicated recruitment service to all Swiss Re business units and legal entities based in the US.

About You

You have built your career in an international company or one with a sizable regional footprint, understanding the complexity and matrix of a global organisation.

The recruitment expertise throughout the US would put you at a distinct advantage. Further attributes required :

  • Impact driver, inspiring leader, trainer and motivator, demonstrating efficiencies in the use of technologies
  • Knowledge of and experience applying local labor law in both talent acquisition and HR processes
  • Successful (5+ years') experience in running and transforming a full cycle recruiting process in-house
  • Demonstrable experience in leading initiatives and projects
  • Experienced in sourcing, headhunting and / or executive search
  • Excellent communication and proven ability to advise and partner with business leaders
  • Be curious, challenge and ask 'why' with a solutions mindset
  • Flourish with working with ambiguity and in a highly matrixed environment
  • Additional certification (e.g. SPHR) is a plus
  • Bachelors or Masters in Human resources or in role experience

Our company has a hybrid work model where the expectation is that you will be in the office two to three days per week on average.

In addition, this role is not eligible for relocation and / or visa support.

For Armonk, NY, the estimated base salary range for this position is $144,000 to $216,000. The specific salary offered for this or any given role will take into account a number of factors including but not limited to job location, scope of role, qualifications, complexity / specialization / scarcity of talent, experience, education, and employer budget.
