Senior Software Development Engineer

What does a successful Senior Software Development Engineer do at Fiserv?

You will be part of the Core Acquiring Front End engineering group within the Fiserv Global Business Solutions (Payment Acceptance) business.

Daily we process over 350 million payment transactions with a peak throughput of over 8,000 transactions per second while maintaining millisecond-fast response time;

all of this is done for some of the largest merchants in the US. In this fast-paced online transaction processing environment, you will balance platform stability and resiliency with modern engineering practices and solutions.

What You Will Do

• Design software solutions in the real-time payment domain
• Design and develop microservices for highly efficient protocol translation and enrichment with reactive design patterns
• Develop high-throughput and high-volume transaction APIs to be consumed by omni channel platforms
• Enhance API solutions to offer simple, easy to consume APIs for payment customers
• Develop roadmap and strategies to provide Client Libraries and SDKs for API products
• Analyze complex processes and technological heterogenic applications

What You Will Need To Have

• 7+ years of experience in Java, GIT, JIRA, Maven, Confluence, Spring framework : Core, MVC, AOP, Java NIO
• 5+ years of experience in the Spring Boot framework and with Spring Cloud, Spring Data, Spring Transactional, and Spring Batch
• 5+ years of cloud-native experience, including AWS
• 5+ years of experience with distributed systems and microservices architectures
• 2+ years of experience in cloud transformation in a payments or financial services environment
• Bachelor's degree in computer science, or a relevant field, or an equivalent combination of education, military, or work experience

What Would Be Great To Have

• Experience with Kubernetes or other container orchestration tools
• Experience in Agile and DevOps methodologies
• Experience in CI / CD pipeline and related open-source tools like Jenkins / GitLab / SonarQube
