Job Title : Custodian
Location : Baltimore, MD 21218
Position Summary :
The Custodian is responsible for cleaning and maintaining office buildings, laboratories, classrooms, and outside areas.
The role includes ensuring that facilities are kept in a clean and orderly condition by performing routine maintenance tasks.
Candidates must be able to handle physical activities such as moving furniture, vacuuming, mopping, and dusting. Flexibility for on-call availability is required.
Key Responsibilities :
- Empty trash cans, wash windows, vacuum and mop floors, and remove dust.
- Move furniture, appliances, and equipment as needed.
- Perform routine cleaning tasks in office buildings, laboratories, and classrooms.
- Maintain cleanliness and upkeep of outside areas.
- Respond to any additional cleaning or maintenance needs as required.
- Provide assistance for event setups or other facility needs.
- Be available for emergency on-call services.
Qualifications :
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Prior experience in cleaning or custodial work is preferred.
- Ability to perform physical tasks including lifting, moving, and handling equipment.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining cleanliness.
- Flexibility in work hours, including the ability to be on call when necessary.
