The Sales Manager Styrene Monomer is responsible for identifying a.) new domestic accounts / customers, b.) structural export customers and c.
opportunistic export customers, as well as maintaining and growing existing partners and developing a strategy that anticipates different market cycles and demand patterns.
This position acts in highly volatile and cyclic markets requiring the necessity to react very quickly to changing market conditions through daily monitoring, analyzing, evaluating and decision making.
After the Bayport EB expansion the sales manager is now also responsible for developing resp. identifying EB customers and selling EB volumes into the export market and / or to structural accounts.
Competence and vision to enable the negotiation of shorter and complex, long term contracts to ensure optimum business results.
Experience and competence to understand dynamic market environments.

- Can communicate to a diverse audience (from CEO to operational level)
- Strong negotiator with good customer relationships
- Understands logistical issues of customers and works (together with supply chain, logistics and customer service) to overcome such challenges / changes
- Ability to quickly react to changing market conditions i.e. purchase larger volumes of styrene during operational plant issues or planned TARs
