Responsibilities

Shift Maintenance Associate should have mechanical, electrical, pneumatic and hydraulics knowledge that allows a comprehensive and thorough understanding of mechanical and electrical systems and controls. Some training in industrial electrical / electronic and / or experience in an industrial environment is required. Shift Maintenance troubleshoot and repair production equipment when breakdown occur and install replacement parts as needed from on-site stock room. They must make the necessary repairs safely and as proficient as possible to minimize machine down-time. They may replace items such as pumps, motors, drive chain, shafts, bearings, sprockets, drive belts, sheaves, circuit breakers, fuses, switches, electrical and electronic components, or wire. They also periodically inspect all equipment to ensure they are operating properly and locate and correct problems before breakdowns occur.
