Talascend is currently seeking a Business Analyst Data Solutions for a contract opportunity in Houston, Texas
SUMMARY :
Our Client is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Business Analyst with specialized knowledge in AWS and Snowflake to join their dynamic team.
The successful candidate will play a crucial role in analyzing business processes identifying areas for improvement and implementing solutions that leverage AWS and Snowflake to optimize data management and analytics.
This individual will work with pertinent stakeholders to identify appropriate and necessary data and reporting requirements and turn them into actionable deliverables for the respective engineering teams.
RESPONSIBILITIES :
Collaborate with stakeholders to gather analyze and document business requirements.
Conduct detailed analysis of business processes and workflows to identify areas for improvement.
Work with technical teams to design solutions that meet business needs.
Prepare comprehensive business and functional requirement documents Jira user stories use cases and process / data flow diagrams.
Serve as a liaison between business stakeholders and technical teams ensuring clear communication and understanding.
Assist in project planning monitoring and execution. Support project managers in tracking project deliverables and timelines.
Coordinate and participate in user acceptance testing UAT and change processes to ensure solutions meet business requirements.
Generate reports and dashboards to provide insights into business performance and project progress.
REQUIREMENTS :
Experience utilizing Jira for project and work management across multiple teams.
Familiarity with AWS services and offerings e.g. S3 Glue and Snowflake for data warehousing ETL and ELT process and data integrations.
Expertise building and utilizing SQL / Snowflake views to support PBI reporting.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Excellent communication and presentation skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
MUST HAVE Outlook experience ie. schedule meetings etc
