The Payroll Manager will sit in the firm's Washington, DC, office, operating on a hybrid schedule. The Manager will support the Senior Payroll Manager in overseeing all payroll processing for the firm's U.

S. offices. Responsibilities include data entry, preparation, processing, validation, and reconciliation of payroll.

My client is a reputable, international law firm. The Payroll Manager will sit in the firm's DC office and required onsite 2-3 days.

Description

  • Ensure accurate and timely processing of bi-weekly, semi-monthly, and monthly payroll.
  • Input payroll and HR data, including tax-related transactions, into Workday.
  • Review payroll data for accuracy and compliance with tax regulations, meeting all deadlines.
  • Handle on / off cycle payments and various adjustments.
  • Validate and reconcile periodic, quarterly, and annual tax submissions with third-party vendors for tax filings.
  • Work closely with HR and Finance departments to ensure payroll transactions are accurately reflected in financial records.
  • Stay informed of federal, state, and local payroll tax laws and regulations.

Profile

  • College degree (required).
  • Thorough understanding of payroll procedures.
  • Familiarity with automated payroll / HRIS systems, Workday preferred.
  • Demonstrated experience as a Payroll Manager, ideally within a law firm or professional services setting.
