Overview
The University of Iowa Community Clinics is seeking a patient centered 100% (40 hours a week) Medical Assistant II to work at our UICC Obstetrics and Gynecology (OBGYN), Cedar Rapids . This position will mainly support our Cedar Rapids OBGYN Clinic but could float to other patient specialties / clinic locations including but not limited to : Specialty / Outreach, Family Medicine, and / or Pediatrics.

Summary
Under the direct supervision of a Licensed Independent Practitioner (LIP), RN, NM / ANM, or other licensed designee, the Medical Assistant II functions as a member of the patient care team. Performs technical, patient care and related clerical functions in the urgent care / ambulatory setting by coordinating all elements of the patient visit.

Percent of Time and Schedule
Percent of Time : 100% (40 hours per week)
Schedule : Variable hours, Monday through Friday, between 7 : 30 AM and 5 : 30 PM, with 8-hour shifts. Standard clinic hours are 8 : 00 AM – 5 : 00 PM. No weekends, on‑call time, or holidays required.
Location
Cedar Rapids, IA (or surrounding clinics based on clinical need or hours).
Compensation
Pay Grade : 9
Salary : $40,903.92 - $60,760.80 (at 100% time) / Hourly : $19.59 - $29.10 (based on years of experience).
