What You'll Do Reporting to Executive Leadership, the Tool Shop Sales Manager is responsible for developing and implementing strategies to prospect and secure new business directed by Tool Shops across multiple regions, as well as Tier Ones.
Added duties include developing direct reports, managing the budget & forecast, and leading Estimation group (quote process).
This key role requires an ability to interact, problem solve, develop teams and influence successful outcomes with existing and prospective decision makers.
Cultivate an environment of teamwork, accountability, creativity, and continuous improvement. Develop strategy, models and trains on methods to hunt new business Support and assist sales team members with all aspects of the sales cycle (prospecting, negotiations, presentations, quoting, reporting, and problem solving).
Develop / maintain / track opportunities Collaborate with Program management, Operations, and external customer teams to deliver positive outcomes.
Provide performance feedback and conduct annual performance reviews for direct reports. Initiate corrective action and / or performance improvement plans when necessary.
Ensure Estimates / Quotations are completed timely and sufficiently Manage expense reporting process. Participate in candidate selection, interviews, and training of new sales employees.
Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, reviewing professional publications, establishing personal networks, and participating in professional societies.
Some travel required, local, overnight or international as needed Physically present and onsite (not a remote work situation).
What You'll Bring Bachelor’s degree in marketing or business administration. Three to five years of sales experience ( hunter ), with a proven track record of positive sales performance.
