Surf Cantina in Westerly, RI is seeking a hands-on, high-energy General Manager to lead our coastal-Mexican kitchen and tequila bar — a lively, creative environment in the heart of downtown Westerly

This is a dynamic, guest-facing leadership position ideal for someone who thrives in the fast lane — balancing service, rhythm, and vibe while still managing numbers, systems, and people with precision.

Your Impact

Operations & Guest Engagement

  • Lead all front-of-house operations and coordinate back-of-house communication.
  • Stay present on the floor — greeting guests, pacing service, reading the room.
  • Ensure quality control and speed of service during peak shifts.

Financial & Operational Focus

  • Manage budgets, labor, and inventory systems for tight cost control.
  • Leverage tools such as Toast POS and BevSpot for insights and decisions.
  • Work with ownership on menu strategy, promotions, and vendor optimization.
  • People & Culture

  • Recruit, hire, and develop a diverse and motivated team.
  • Foster a collaborative and fun work environment grounded in respect and accountability.
  • Deliver structured coaching and recognition that keeps turnover low and morale high.
  • Who You Are

  • 5+ years in full-service, high-energy restaurant management.
  • Guest-first mindset with proven ability to motivate teams in fast-paced environments.
  • Skilled at financial management, vendor communication, and scheduling optimization.
  • ServSafe or beverage certifications preferred
