Job Title : Debt Management Consultant
Department : Business and Finance Debt Management
Serves in a strategic role performing diverse and complex financial management and analysis for the Office of Financial Services (OFS).
This position has financial advisory and oversight responsibilities for multiple programs / projects under OFS authority (Debt Management, Internal Bank, Hospital Self Insurance, Investments, Provider Relationship, Banking Services, and Strategic Special Projects, etc.
Specific responsibilities for financial management include debt issuance and management (including related compliance), Internal Bank loan initiation and administration, consultation, near- and long-term forecasting, cash positioning, custodian management, internal and external billings and collections, and complex monthly financial reporting and analysis.
Prepares reports for and provides recommendations to executive leadership for use in planning and decision-making. Provides oversight, training, and guidance to staff serving in Analyst positions.
Develops an understanding of the challenges of the unit and the university and is mindful of creating operational efficiencies, expense reduction and revenue generation.
May have supervisory responsibilities. Focus is on management / oversight of multiple high-level programs.
Required Qualifications :
Bachelor's degree in business administration, finance, a related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Six (6) or more years of relevant financial experience; advanced level of Microsoft Excel knowledge and experience; ability to handle multiple assignments;
strong written and oral communication skills; ability to complete complex work independently with minimal supervision; ability to handle complex and confidential information with discretion.
Desired Qualifications :
Master's degree. CPA, CFA, or CTP.

The Target Hiring Range for this position is $85,000 to $113,500 per year.
