Job Summary
The ICU Registered Nurse is responsible for promoting and restoring patient health by collaborating with physicians and multidisciplinary team members to provide quality patient care.
This role involves assessing, planning, and evaluating patient care, as well as providing education to patients and families.
- Identify patient care requirements and establish rapport with patients and families
- Create a compassionate environment and provide support to patients, friends, and families
- Promote patient independence and educate on disease processes and self-care skills
- Assure quality care and make necessary adjustments to patient needs
- Maintain equipment and adhere to infection control policies and protocols
- Ensure a safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures and regulations
Education / Experience Requirements
- Required : Graduate of an accredited associate degree in Nursing
- Preferred : Bachelor of Science in Nursing and one or more years of related experience
Licensure / Certification Requirements
- Required : Current New York State licensure as a Registered Nurse
- Preferred : Basic Life Support Certification
