About The Position
Job Title : Registered Nurse (RN) Job Specialty : Progressive Intermediate Step Down PCU Job Duration : 13 weeks Shift : 12-hour night shift, 3x12 Hr Guaranteed Hours : 36 hours per week Experience : Minimum one year of experience preferred License : State RN license or RN license from a participating state in the NLC Certifications : - American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) required- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) required- ANCC-approved National Nursing Certification strongly preferred Must-Have : Experience with patient care Job Description : Demonstrate responsibility and accountability for patient care, collaborating with the healthcare team and patient / family.
- Assess patient's physical, emotional, psychosocial, cultural, and spiritual needs.- Develop and implement patient care plans, observing outcomes in collaboration with the interdisciplinary team.
- Perform therapeutic and diagnostic interventions, including IVs, wound care, medication administration, catheterization, and specimen collections.
- Advocate for patient health, safety, and rights.- Provide and evaluate patient and family education.- Deliver care with respect for cultural differences and diversity.
- Delegate tasks to non-RN personnel in accordance with nursing and hospital policy.- Serve as a professional role model for staff, demonstrating ethical and professional nursing practices.
- Manage resources and patient flow effectively.- Precept and mentor new staff or nursing students.- Participate in unit-based quality improvement, research, and evidence-based practice.
- Engage in ongoing professional development and lifelong learning.- Maintain professional records of competency.- Understand and utilize continuous quality improvement data.
Note : Floating may be required to any location within sixty miles of the original assignment.
