The Senior Accountant supports the Company cross-functionally by providing monthly reporting and roll-up needs for internal management, portfolio management, lender requirements, and investor requirements.

This position will report to the Controller, Assistant Controller, Manager, or Accounting Supervisor per department structure.

  • Prepare fund monthly reporting packages
  • Prepare quarterly lender and investor reporting deliverables
  • Review contracts associated with fund reporting to ensure accounting and reporting is accurate and complete
  • Prepare analysis explaining material month over month and quarterly movements
  • Prepare journal entries to record financial activity
  • Reporting of financial activity related to department responsibilities
  • Assists in annual audit providing supporting documentation
  • Ad hoc reporting and process documentation
  • Other duties as assigned

What you will need to have :

  • BS in Accounting; CPA preferred
  • 4 years of accounting experience with experience in a public accounting firm a plus
  • Advance proficiency in Microsoft Excel
  • Experience with Yardi and Workiva preferred
  • Experience in real estate, preferably rental property preferred
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively within internal and external stakeholders
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet tight deadlines while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail
