Job Description : We are looking for a dynamic Occupational Therapist (OT) to work with students in the Chicago area during the 2024-2025 school year.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in pediatric occupational therapy and a passion for helping children reach their full potential.
As an OT, you will be responsible for assessing students' needs, developing individualized treatment plans, and implementing therapeutic interventions to support their academic and functional success.
Collaboration with teachers, parents, and other members of the educational team is essential to ensure a holistic approach to student care.
Additionally, the OT will be responsible for documenting progress, conducting evaluations, and participating in IEP meetings as needed.

Key Responsibilities :
- Conduct assessments to evaluate students' fine motor skills, sensory processing, visual-motor integration, and activities of daily living.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans to address students' identified needs and goals.
- Provide direct therapy services in individual and group settings, both in-person and virtually.
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other members of the educational team to support students' academic and functional success.
- Monitor student progress and adjust treatment plans as needed to ensure continued growth and development.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of therapy sessions, progress reports, and other relevant data.
- Participate in IEP meetings and other multidisciplinary team meetings to discuss student progress, goals, and interventions.
- Stay current on best practices, research, and trends in pediatric occupational therapy to inform practice and improve outcomes.
Qualifications :
- Master's degree (or higher) in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program.
- Current license to practice as an Occupational Therapist in the state of Illinois.
- Certification by the National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy (NBCOT).
- Previous experience working with pediatric populations, preferably in a school or educational setting.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with students, parents, teachers, and other professionals.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Commitment to ongoing professional development and continuous learning.
