Recruiter Position Description

You are the power behind interviewing and hiring new employees for open entry-level positions at our Ian's Pizza locations! At the Ian's Pizza Franchise Office, you will join a small team of curious multitaskers who thrive on collaboration and structure.

This position won't have you slinging slices, but you will work with our leadership teams engaging on hiring and staffing needs.

• You will understand the entry-level hiring needs and applicant pool; review applications and schedule phone / video / in-person interviews;
• complete interviews and take detailed notes; make hiring decisions based on Ian's Pizza Standards, manager feedback, and store needs;
• send offers and New Hire Paperwork and follow up as needed; schedule New Hire Orientations with appropriate store manager;
• keep organized, detailed records on where applicants and new hires are in the process; send Friday hiring update emails;

and complete additional HR or Administrative duties as assigned.

Recruiter Schedule

Work days are typically 4-5 hour blocks of time for 4-5 days per week. Must be able to work a minimum of 2 days from the office or restaurant locations (Tuesday / Wednesday, Wednesday / Thursday, or Tuesday / Thursday).

This position will have you working 18-25 hours a week.

Recruiter Qualifications and Requirements

• 1+ years of experience in customer service roles (restaurants, retail, call centers, etc).
• Access to a quiet place, free from distractions, for interviews when not on-site.
• Access to a strong, reliable internet connection for interviews when not on-site.
• Reliable transportation to and from office and restaurant locations. Parking costs are reimbursed.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Including the ability to type quickly, and take notes while interviewing.
• Excellent organization, attention to detail, problem solving.
• Exercises initiative and sound decision-making.
• Open-minded and aware of biases and prejudices.
• Ability to plan, organize, work proactively, and set priorities.
• Self-motivated to get the job done. This job requires significant independent work.
• Demonstrates and exemplifies the Ian's Pizza Big Five.
• Previous experience in HR or phone-based customer service or sales is a plus!
• Bilingual (Spanish / English) applicants are strongly encouraged to apply!

Work Location

Hybrid on-site and remote. Must be able to work 2 days per week from the office (downtown Madison) and / or at restaurant locations (campus area, downtown, east side) to stay connected to staff and employees.

During the initial training period and first 90 days, may need to work on-site more regularly for new-hire training.
