Description
POSITIONSUMMARY : Assesses and treatsneuromusculoskeletal & cardiorespiratory systems by physical ormechanical means to maintain or restore function that has beenimpaired by injury or disease, for pain management and forpromotion of mobility and health as prescribed by the referringphysician.
Is responsible for developing, implementing andmonitoring the plan of care for the person served. Performsand directs administration of all physical therapy modalities &collaborates throughout the process with the patient and theirfamily and the interdisciplinaryteam.
Requirements
MINIMUMQUALIFICATIONS :
EDUCATION : Doctorate,Masters, Bachelors or Associates Degree in Physical Therapy.
CERTIFICATION / LICENSES : Current New Mexico Physical Therapist licensure& BLS certification required.
SKILLS : Demonstratesaccountability and skills in assessment / evaluation, decision-makingand time management. Should have strong interpersonal, verbaland written communication and organizational skills.
EXPERIENCE : Nonerequired.

Works in a clean,well lighted, ventilated smoke-free environment. Potential exposureto communicable diseases, combative patients and hazardouschemicals.

PHYSICALREQUIREMENTS : Good physical condition.Prolonged, extensive, or considerable standing and walking. Lifts, positions, and transfers patients and manipulates occupiedequipment.
Lifts supplies or equipment up to 50 lbs. Potential strains resulting from lifting heavy patients andequipment.
