Job Description
The Lincoln Memorial University-College of Dental Medicine (LMU-CDM) is seeking Clinical General Dentistry Faculty at the LMU-Tower and LMU Community Care Clinics.
The position reports to the Dean for Clinical Affairs and is responsible for supervising LMU-CDM students in the Centers for Excellence (CE) to provide care to their patient family.
Required Qualifications · D.D.S. or D.M.D. degree· Teaching experience preferred· Must have knowledge of dental practice operation· Must be highly skilled in general dentistry· Adaptable and motivated· Able to work independently· Team oriented· Personable
Qualifications Skills RequiredEducation RequiredDDS or DMDExperience Required10-15 years : Experience in private practice where dentistry is performed.
10-15 years : Experience in a dental teaching environment preferred. Preferred Qualifications Physical Demands Job Duty Job Duty · Supervise students in the comprehensive care unit to provide comprehensive care to their patient family
Job Duty · Maintain Standards of Care and ensure continuity of care for all patients in the Centers for Excellence
Job Duty · Participate in clinic quality assurance and continuous quality improvement measures
Job Duty · Work on the clinic floor 5 days per week, depending on faculty practice day
Job Duty · Assist the staff, faculty, and administration in Knoxville to train adjunct faculty to achieve clinical calibration.
Job Duty · Work with the dental assistant(s) and Clinic Care Coordinator and contribute to performance review evaluations in conjunction with the Dean for Clinical Affairs and Associate Dean for Clinical Affairs
Job Duty · Coordinate with the Associate Dean for Faculty and Students for staff leave (vacation, medical) and clinic floor coverage
Job Duty · Complete administrative reports as needed and all LMU-required employee training
Job Duty · Track student progress and collaborate with Center for Excellence Attending Faculty and the Dean Clinical Affairs and Associate Dean for Clinical Affairs on student deficiencies
Job Duty · Assure patient, student, and staff safety and communication
Job Duty · Perform dental procedures on patients as needed
Job Duty · Support / participate in an after-hours emergency care program as needed
Job Duty · Perform additional duties as assigned by the Dean for Clinical Affairs
