Job Duration : 13 weeks
Orientation : 8 hours (non-billable)
Job Description :
We are looking for a skilled Medical Assistant to join our outpatient clinic team. This position requires a minimum of one year of experience and involves providing high-quality patient care in a dynamic environment.
Responsibilities :
- Assist healthcare providers with patient examinations and procedures.
- Take and record patient histories, vital signs, and other relevant information.
- Administer medications and treatments as directed by the provider.
- Schedule appointments and handle follow-up communications with patients.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization in the clinical environment.
- Provide education to patients regarding treatment plans and health management.
Qualifications :
- Minimum 1 year of experience required.
- Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) is required.
- Experience in adult outpatient clinics preferred, with familiarity in General / Family Practice, Pulmonary, and Internal Medicine.
- Preferred skills in taking vital signs, recording medical histories, and administering treatments (e.g., nebulizer treatments).
- Experience with pharmacy calls and patient refill requests is a plus.
- Ability to float within scope as needed.
