About The Position
Job Title : Nurse Practitioner / Physician Assistant Job Specialty : Emergency Medicine Job Duration : 13 weeks Shift : Days PRN coverage, 11 AM - 11 PM Guaranteed Hours : Experience : 3+ years required License : Active Michigan license required Certifications : ACLS, PALS, ATLS required Must-Have : COVID-19 Vaccine Job Description : Seeking NP / PAs to provide sporadic PRN coverage for vacation, PTO, and sick leave.
- Work two shifts per week from 11 AM to 11 PM.- Manage 5-7 ED patients admitted to the hospital per day, with an average of 45 patients per 24 hours.
- Handle 70% emergency department transfer patients monthly in a 10-bed facility.- Respond to house codes, secondary to ED emergencies;
no fast track in the emergency department.- Care for patients of all ages in a Level IV trauma center setting.- Transfers for deliveries, as well as to a larger nearby facility, when necessary.
- Collaborate with supervising physicians and utilize electronic medical records.- Access to 24-hour radiology, lab, OR, anesthesia, and general surgery services.
- Blood bank certified by the American Association of Blood Banks (AABB).This opportunity does not involve autonomously supervising paramedics or ambulances.
Rapid air transport is available but infrequently required.Credentialing takes 90-120 days. Candidates must be local, as mileage is only considered.
