JOB SUMMARY :
Humacyte is seeking an Executive Director, Supply Chain, to join our rapidly growing organization. This role is accountable for ensuring the uninterrupted flow of materials and services to support the manufacturing and distribution of Humacyte products.
This Leader will drive continuous improvement and performance management activities in commercial and clinical planning, logistics, and strategic sourcing.
ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES :
- Accountable for all aspects of the supply chain function from raw material sourcing to customer delivery.
- Possess an expert level technical understanding of our critical and specialized raw materials.
- Establish and manage performance metrics to measure business critical outputs.
- Develop standard and repeatable supply chain outcomes consistent with organizational expectations.
- Create long-range strategies and objectives for the supply chain that align with overall company growth.
- Interpret and analyze current and past trends in key performance indicators.
- Ensure adherence to established internal policies and procedures as well as external regulatory requirements.
- Collaborate cross-functionally to resolve challenges.
- Engage with Executive leadership to proactively identify potential risks.
- Leverage processes and tools to objectively review suppliers.
- Perform industry benchmarking with respect to pricing, performance, service levels.
- Lead negotiations with complex suppliers, contractors, and partners.
- Partner with Finance to understand budgets and financial forecast processes.
- Work in conjunction with senior management to seek optimal balance.
- Educate Humacyte personnel on supplier management practices.
- Enforces policy and procedure to remain compliant with all requirements.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers.
- Provide all aspects of personnel management for reporting teams.
- Other duties, as assigned.
EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS :
- 15+ years of operations experience in the bioprocessing or biopharma industry.
- B.S. degree required; Advanced degree preferred.
- Demonstrated successful experience leading operations in a cGMP environment.
- Experience building and developing high performing teams.
- Strong ability to communicate well with cross-functional groups.
- APICS certification, C.P.M. and / or A.P.P. is desirable.
- Lean Sigma Black Belt certification is desirable.
- Proven record of accomplishment in supply chain.
- Ability to translate and communicate a strategic plan into tactical goals.
- Exceptional communication, listening, negotiating, and presentation skills.
- Ability to effectively manage multiple priorities.
- Strong ability to work in a fast-paced team environment.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Must be able to work as needed to meet tight deadlines.
- Represents the organization in a positive and professional manner.
