Manager, Program Success

WHAT WE EXPECT FROM YOU :
As part of the Operations team, the Manager of Program Success, Direct Schools, will play a pivotal role in executing on the goals set forth in the Youth Solutions Strategic Plan.
This role serves as the liaison between school district leadership, partners / stakeholders and the staff implementing the programs, providing leadership to ensure high-quality and consistent service delivery across Berrien, Cass, and Van Buren Counties.
RESPONSIBILITIES :
Program Leadership and Oversight
- Oversee the program operations and day-to-day leadership of all direct service and / or affiliate and school district partners (with a focus on Berrien, Cass and Van Buren Counties), gathering input, assessing need, and providing guidance, support, and resources, where needed.
- Design and implement appropriate professional development tools and training to maximize operational effectiveness and to ensure the achievement of strategic goals and program performance.
- Observation, assessment, and coaching of program staff, including direct supervision of Youth Solutions employed program staff.
- Frequent communication with the leadership of partner organizations and school districts.
- In collaboration with the larger team, design and implement new service delivery lines, and special projects outlined in various grant awards and provide required updates and reports to funders.
- Instill a sense of accountability among team members using organizational scorecards and / or program dashboards and modeling close oversight of organizational performance standards.
- Ensure that all program staff and partnering organizations, particularly school staff and administrators, have the training, support and resources necessary to execute effective partnerships with external stakeholders (employers, colleges, school districts, program volunteers, national partners, etc.).
Partner Engagement and Alignment
- Educate new and existing school district partners on Youth Solutions’ programs and services.
- Serve as the liaison between stakeholders / partners and the staff implementing programming, ensuring successful execution of partnerships with desired outcomes.
- Develop and implement strategies that will maximize the synergies among program areas, building on best practices and partnerships to replicate across the network.
- Navigate a complex network of partners, developing trust and a strong sense of belonging.
- Serve as the connector between the various partners and the school districts.
- Serve as a subject matter expert in the education and workforce space.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS :
- Strong background in education; Bachelor’s degree required.
- Proven leadership experience.
- Strong logistical planning skills and follow through.
- Ability to work in a self-directed manner, with some level of ambiguity in day-to-day operations, often within a remote work environment.
- Strong interpersonal skills. This person must be able to work with external organizations and agencies, requiring the ability to relate well with a wide range of people and values.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with exceptional attention to details
- Demonstrated track record of success executing / implementing a variety of projects.
- Strong project management skills managing complex, multifaceted projects resulting in measurable successes and program growth.
- Ability to communicate effectively and professionally, including developing relationships and making formal presentations.
- Personal qualities of excellence, leadership, remaining solutions-focused, and being collaborative with commitment to and passion for Youth Solutions’ mission.
- Ability to identify, articulate and implement new practices and systems.
- Ability to handle a wide range of commitments simultaneously with a keen ability to prioritize and execute.
- Proficient in using technology as a management reporting tool
WORK ENVIRONMENT :
- Hybrid position with frequent travel expected within Berrien, Cass, and Van Buren Counties, with some statewide, including occasional overnight travel.
