Jointhe dynamic team in the Albany Medical Center Critical Care FloatPool today! An opportunity to gain and practice critical careskills in the following areas : Neuro-Surgical Trauma ICU, MedicalICU, Coronary Care Unit, Cardiovascular ICU , and our intermediatecare ICU- the MSICU.
RNs in the CriticalCare Float pool also have the opportunity to gain additionalcompetencies in Emergency Department care and neuro-progressivecare areas.

The Registered ProfessionalNurse assesses, coordinates, plans, directs, implements and managesthe needs of assigned patients throughout the episode of care witha focus on progress toward discharge, including during transitionswithin the acute care stay.
The Registered Professional Nurse isresponsible for the delivery and coordination of patient careprovided by the caregiving team.
S / he assures that competent,compassionate patient care is uniformly provided to customersincluding referring facilities, hospital staff and patients in theinpatient, ambulatory, and community settings.
RegisteredProfessional Nurses that participate in the Nursing ProfessionalAdvancement Pathway (NPAP) must progress from novice to competentwithin a specialty.
Nurses are eligible to apply for advancement toproficient or expert status as outlined in theNPAP.
