Patient Navigator Supervisor
Position is hybrid, onsite 3days / week located at 2250 Perimeter Park Drive Suite 300 Morrisville NC 27560.
Training is hybrid, onsite / remote Mon-Friday 8am - 5pm EST.

The Patient Navigator Supervisor role focuses on supporting the team of Patient Navigators and Regional Leads, educating healthcare providers and patients on access, coverage, and reimbursement support. This role will be regionally aligned to best support patients. This position combines exceptional customer service, relationship management, and expertise in reimbursement practices to provide personalized support and ensure compliance with all healthcare regulations.
Responsibilities
Support and mentor team of Patient Navigators and Regional LeadsServes as the "go to" subject matter expert internally to support Patient Navigators in assigned regionsHandles escalated healthcare provider account, patient and / or client field identified issuesActs as a single point of contact for client field reimbursement team leadership and participates in regional meetings as requiredSubmits daily and weekly reports to the Program Manager regarding productivity statistics at both the team and employee levelManages special projects and tasks as assigned by program leadershipCoordinate and collaborate with client field teams, following agreed upon business rules and guidelinesEnsure all activities comply with healthcare laws, regulations, and Mercalis standard operating procedures (e.g., HIPAA, insurance guidelines)Participate in team meetings and ongoing training to stay updated on policies and proceduresUtilize Mercalis' leadership competencies as the driving force behind the team's successOn time adherence to training deadlines for all corporate policies and procedures governing access to confidential dataEnsure all SOPs are followed with consistencyConducts miscellaneous tasks or projects as assignedQualifications
Bachelor's degree required (preferably in Healthcare Administration, Social Science, or a related field)If no degree : 10+ years of relevant experienceOr 5+ years of related work and a combination of certifications (e.g., PACS, CHES, CCM), may be consideredAt least 5 years of leadership experience and 5+ years in healthcare access, patient support, or insurance reimbursementStrong understanding of medical terms and coding (ICD-10, CPT, HCPCS)Familiar with HIPAA, Medicare, and Medicaid regulationsComfortable working in a fast-paced, high-volume environmentBilingual or multilingual is a plusWhy work for Mercalis?
