Scalvy Inc. is a fast-growing startup in electric powertrains, storage solutions, and data center (AI) power solutions. Scalvy grew four-fold in one year, anticipating significant growth over the coming years.
Scalvy is the only company in the electric mobility space providing a complete product suite across battery management systems (BMS), onboard chargers, electric drivetrain inverters, and DC-DC converters with software algorithms and control structures.
Scalvy has recently won large contracts with some of the US and Europe's largest mobility suppliers and OEMs. The company is well funded and looking towards increasing the team size and capabilities to support the increasing demand for its technology.
Role Description
This is a full-time hybrid role for a Principal Power Electronics Engineer at Scalvy Inc. located in Austin, Texas, Metropolitan Area, with flexibility for some remote work.
The Principal Power Electronics Engineer will be responsible for running model-based simulations, designing schematics, and designing PCBs for high-power electronic systems, as well as testing power electronic circuits, overseeing electronic engineering projects, and ensuring the efficiency and quality of the designed and tested systems.
The right fit will be able to run multiple projects simultaneously and manage a team of hardware engineers and designers.
Qualifications
- Master's or PhD in Electrical Engineering or related field
- 5+ years of experience in Schematics and PCB Design.
- Expertise in Electronics Testing
- 5+ years of experience in power electronics simulations and testing (Simulink, Ltspice, Pspice, and Powersim).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently and in a team
- Excellent communication and project management skills
- Expertise in DAB and resonant DC-DC topologies.
