PLR Talent Forward provides HR and talent-sourcing services to credit unions in North and South Carolina. We are pleased to partner with Brookland Federal Credit Union to assist with the identification of candidates for the position of Member Service Representative.

Located in West Columbia, SC, Brookland FCU services all members and immediate family members of Brookland Baptist Church.
Brookland FCU was founded in 1999, and for 20 years has existed solely to serve members' best interests. This focus on members instead of profits allows Brookland FCU to offer a full range of financial services specifically designed to meet members' needs and provide substantial savings.
Description & Details :
The primary function of this position is to serve as a liaison between members and the credit union. Providing accurate and efficient service and information to credit union members in person and over the phone.
As well as providing a variety of transactional services to members.
Responsibilities to Include :
- Perform tasks such as deposits, withdrawals, loan payments, cashing checks, and transfers between accounts.
- Handle member inquiries, open accounts, and manage payroll allocations.
- Issue money orders, certified checks, and initiate wire transfers.
- Treat account and personal information confidentially.
- Provide routine information about credit union services, including membership eligibility and types of accounts.
- Operate, maintain, and balance the cash drawer.
- Perform clerical tasks such as answering telephones, filing, mailing correspondence, and performing file maintenance on accounts.
Skills :
- Proven proficiency in the operation of the online terminal.
- Accuracy in cash handling and recording daily transactions.
- Mental alertness, neat and professional appearance, punctuality, and cooperative attitude with members and staff.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office.
- Ability to communicate clearly both verbally and in writing required.
- Ability to follow written policies, procedures, and guidelines required.
Education :
- High school diploma required.
- Prior financial institution experience a plus. Work Location :
