Job Title : Lead Application Support Engineer

Location : Tampa, FL

Salary Range : $101,000 - $110,000

Our Client, a leader in financial services, is seeking a Lead Application Support Engineer to join their Development team.

This role focuses on maintaining and providing technical support for applications in daily operations.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Resolve critical application alerts and production defects
  • Collaborate with internal teams on application issues
  • Validate and submit audit responses
  • Manage disaster recovery processes
  • Identify automation opportunities
  • Partner with development teams on application design
  • Manage application deployment and upgrade processes

Required Skills :

  • 6+ years of related experience (4+ years in Distributed Application Support)
  • Experience with Java / J2EE, XML, HTML, JavaScript, NodeJS
  • Proficiency in Unix, Linux, Windows, SQL / PLSQL
  • Knowledge of relational databases (DB2, Oracle, Snowflake)
  • Experience with monitoring tools (Splunk, HiPam, DynaTrace)
  • Familiarity with cloud technologies (AWS, Azure)
  • Strong problem-solving skills

Desired Skills :

  • Bachelor's degree in related field
  • Experience with container platforms and RedHat OpenShift
  • Knowledge of scheduling tools (CA AutoSys, Control-M)
  • Middleware experience (Tomcat, WebSphere)
  • Messaging queue systems knowledge (IBM MQ, Oracle AQ, ActiveMQ)
  • Exposure to mainframe troubleshooting and support (COBOL, JCL, DB2, CICS)
  • Familiarity with mainframe scheduling
