Direct Support Professional

Description of Responsibilities

No experience necessary, we'll provide and pay for your training!

At Aveanna, a DSP's responsibilities include helping in our clients' Everyday Lives by nurturing opportunities and supporting the individuals in their home and community.

Responsibilities

Implement goals from ISP with consumer 1 : 1 services including but not limited to in home and community supports, companion services, and respite services.

Instruct and reinforce target goals and outcomes according to ISP.

Complete written documentation of services(s) provided upon completion of visit.

Maintain appropriate professional conduct at all times.

Assist in the development of consumer ISP and goal revisions as directed by team.

Provides care in accordance with written instructions from professional staff.

Reports immediately to supervisor any changes or concerns in the patient’s condition or any problems in assigned tasks.

Is dependable and on time for assignments.

Minimum Qualifications

Experience with ID / DD consumers preferred, but not required

Proof of eligibility to work in the United States.

High school Diploma or GED.

Good organizational and communication skills.
