This is an opportunity to join a growing and well-respected practice! Las Vegas Urology is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Medical Assistant to join our Men's Health and Urology team.
The ideal candidate will have experience in providing patient care in a urology setting, possess strong clinical and administrative skills, and be committed to delivering high-quality care to our patients.

General Responsibilities :
Clinical Duties :
- Assist physicians and APPs with urology-related examinations, procedures, and treatments.
- Prepare patients for examinations, including taking vital signs and medical histories.
- Perform urological tests such as urinalysis, bladder scans, and flow studies.
- Provide prescription refills and authorizations.
- Maintain cleanliness and stock of examination rooms and medical equipment.
- Administer injections, medications, and assist with catheterizations under the direction of the physician.
- Follow all sterilization and clinical protocols.
- Respond to all tasks in a timely manner.
- Maintain compliance books.
Administrative Duties :
- Review of charts to prepare for the doctor.
- Maintain patient records and ensure their confidentiality.
- Listen to all voicemails by end of each day. Respond to emergent calls within 24 hours and 48 hours for non-emergent.
- Handle incoming faxes.
- Manage inventory of medical supplies.
Patient Interaction :
- Educate patients on pre- and post-procedure care, medication, and overall health maintenance.
- Room patients, stock rooms, set up and assist with procedures.
Minimum Requirements :
- High school diploma or equivalent; completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program preferred.
- Certification as a Medical Assistant (CMA) preferred.
- Previous experience in a urology or men's health setting is strongly preferred.
- Proficiency in using electronic medical records (EMR) systems.
Skills / Experience :
- Knowledge of medical terminology preferred.
- Knowledge of back-office procedures.
- Ability to read, understand and follow oral and written instruction.
- Ability to speak clearly and concisely with a pleasant telephone voice.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle stressful situations calmly.
- Ability to prioritize.
- Must possess strong organizational skills and be detail oriented.
Physical Demands :
Requires standing and walking for periods of time. Some bending, lifting, and stretching required. Manual dexterity required for use of telephone and computer keyboard.
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. Position requires the ability to work in stressful situations.
Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds occasionally.
