Job Title : Biergarten Manager
Position Overview :
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Biergarten Manager to join our fast-paced, drinks-focused restaurant. As a Biergarten Manager, you will oversee the daily operations of the bar, manage staff, and ensure the delivery of exceptional customer service.
This role requires a strong leader with excellent organizational skills, a passion for mixology, and the ability to thrive in a high-energy environment.
Key Responsibilities :
- Bar Operations : Oversee all aspects of bar operations, including inventory management, ordering, and maintaining cleanliness and organization of the bar area.
- Staff Management : Hire, train, and supervise bar staff, including bartenders and barbacks, ensuring adherence to service standards and restaurant policies.
- Menu Development : Collaborate with the beverage director or chef to develop and update the cocktail and drink menu, focusing on creativity and quality.
- Customer Experience : Ensure all guests receive prompt, professional, and friendly service; address any customer concerns or feedback swiftly and efficiently.
- Inventory and Cost Control : Monitor stock levels, manage supplier relationships, and control beverage costs through efficient purchasing, portion control, and waste reduction.
- Compliance : Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, as well as licensing laws and alcohol-serving policies.
- Event Coordination : Work closely with the restaurant team to plan and execute events, happy hours, or promotions that drive bar revenue.
- Financial Management : Assist in setting financial goals, tracking performance, and preparing bar-related financial reports, such as sales and inventory analysis.
- Quality Control : Maintain high standards of drink preparation and presentation, ensuring consistency across all products.
Qualifications :
- Proven experience as a Bar Manager or Head Bartender in a busy, drinks-focused environment.
- Extensive knowledge of beverage trends, cocktail making, and bar operations.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a team in a fast-paced setting.
- Excellent customer service skills and the ability to handle customer issues professionally.
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
- Knowledge of budgeting, cost control, and financial reporting.
- Must be able to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.
Preferred Skills :
- Experience in a high-volume bar or restaurant setting.
- Certification in responsible alcohol service.
- Familiarity with point-of-sale (POS) systems and bar inventory software.
