The ideal candidate for the Staff Accountant will possess :

• A bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance (internship experience is a plus)
• Superior analytical abilities to identify and resolve accounting issues
• A proactive mindset and strong work ethic to prioritize tasks effectively
• Excellent communication skills to collaborate cross-functionally

Key Responsibilities of the Staff Accountant :

• Perform daily bank reconciliations, ensuring data accuracy and completeness
• Investigate and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner
• Record fixed assets and calculate depreciation
• Support monthly / quarterly / year-end financial close processes
• Conduct financial compliance and regulatory reporting activities
• Stay up-to-date on changes to accounting regulations and standards
• Identify process improvements to enhance efficiency and precision
• Monitor and analyze potential unclaimed property liability
• Assist with ad-hoc projects as needed

Required Qualifications :

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting / Finance from an accredited university
• Minimum 3.2 undergraduate GPA
• A year of accounting experience, via work or internship experience (exceptional recent graduates considered)
• Proficiency in Excel, including pivot tables and VLOOKUP's
• Experience with bank reconciliations is a plus
