We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Operating Room Registered Nurse to join our team at a state-of-the-art facility specializing in general surgery.
As an integral member of the surgical team, the Registered Nurse will provide direct patient care, promote safety during operative procedures, and maintain a sterile environment in the operating room.
Responsibilities
- Assess patients' needs and provide individualized care
- Review charts for completeness and adhere to documentation protocols
- Communicate effectively with patients, teammates, and physicians
- Prepare the operating room and ensure equipment is in working order
- Maintain a sterile environment and position patients for surgery
- Monitor patients' vital signs and pass instruments to surgeons during procedures
Qualifications
- Licensed Registered Nurse with CT Department of Public Health credentials
- Certified BLS Provider with 2 years of Operating Room experience
- Excellent knowledge of aseptic and sterile techniques
- Solid understanding of patient safety and surgical procedures
- Critical thinker, problem solver, and team player
- Associate degree required, BSN preferred
