As an intern, your time will be split between a core program shared throughout the cohort and work, projects and programming designed specifically for the department you are selected to join.

Our Commercial Lines department is thrilled to announce an exciting opportunity for an intern in our 2025 summer program! This role offers the chance to gain valuable experience at our New York City office, with a flexible schedule of four days in the office and one day working from home each week.

Daily responsibilities will include, but are not limited to :

• Assist the Account Executive in managing and maintaining existing client relationships
• Develop PowerPoint presentations for new business and participating in client meetings
• Gain hands-on experience by working and shadowing various teams
• Conduct market research in the insurance industry and meeting with leaders to understand available coverages

We're proud of the success many of our former interns have had when they've pursued careers as IMA associates' post-graduation and see our internship program as a key talent pipeline.

Because of this, preference is given to students closer to graduation, who demonstrate a curiosity about future employment within our industry.

You Should Have

• Currently pursuing an Undergraduate or Graduate Degree in a program related to one of our host departments
• Students anticipated to graduate in December 2024 or Spring 2025 will be given preference
• Previous work or internship experience in a professional services or similar environment may be useful, but not required
• An entrepreneurial spirit with the ability to problem-solve, think critically, and provide creative solutions

Salary Range

$18 $22 USD
