Description
Demonstrates care and compassion to all patients and visitors.
Provides courteous and professional assistance to other staff members and physicians.
Performs tests of waived and nonwaived complexity in all sections of the laboratory.
Follows procedures for quality control and assurance.
Correctly documents all work performed.
Oversees the work of lab assistants.
Performs skin, arterial, and venipuncture collection as necessary.
Assist with regulatory compliance activities at the direction of section supervisors and the lab manager.
Qualifications & Skills
NEW GRADS WELCOME :
California Clinical laboratory scientist license required.
Generalist position. Some blood bank experience preferred.
Must be able to follow policies and procedures.
Working knowledge of federal and state regulations preferred .
Must be capable of working under pressure.
Must be able to effectively communicate in English; both verbal and written.
Must have good interpersonal skills and interact professionally with patients, staff, and the public.
Basic computer skills required.
