Job Title : School Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP)Location : Denver, COEmployment Type : Full-Time / Part-TimeJob Description : I am seeking a qualified and enthusiastic Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to join our team in providing comprehensive speech and language services to students.
The SLP will assess, diagnose, and treat students with a variety of communication disorders, working closely with educators, parents, and administrators to develop individualized treatment plans that support students’ academic and social success.
Key Responsibilities : Evaluate and diagnose speech, language, and communication disorders in students from PreK-12.Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) tailored to each student’s specific needs.
Provide direct therapy services in both individual and group settings, targeting areas such as articulation, fluency, voice, language, and social communication.
Collaborate with teachers, special education staff, and administrators to integrate speech-language goals into classroom instruction.
Monitor and document student progress, adjusting therapy approaches as needed to ensure continuous improvement.Participate in IEP meetings, providing expert recommendations for interventions, accommodations, and strategies to support student success.
Provide training and support to teachers and parents on communication strategies for use in the classroom and at home.Stay up-to-date with the latest research, tools, and best practices in speech-language pathology.
Ensure compliance with federal and state regulations, including the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA).Qualifications : Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.
Valid Colorado SLP license and Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA).
Experience working with children in a school setting, preferred.Strong communication, assessment, and organizational skills.
Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team.Dedication to helping students improve their communication skills and succeed academically.
