We are in search of an Accounting Manager to join our dynamic team in Burbank, California. This role primarily involves overseeing the financial close process on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis, maintaining compliance with GAAP, and managing fixed assets.
This role offers a short-term contract employment opportunity.
Responsibilities :
- Oversee the monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close process ensuring the timely preparation of financial reports.
- Maintain compliance with GAAP, focusing on appropriate revenue recognition for projects and accurate balance sheet reconciliation.
- Manage fixed assets, including updating fixed asset roll forwards monthly, and ensure enforcement of accounting policies.
- Act as the primary contact for both internal and external audits, providing necessary financial documentation.
- Display strong accounting systems expertise, with proficiency in Excel and experience in Trimble / Viewpoint ProContractor preferred.
- Lead post-acquisition work, assisting with financial adjustments and integration.
- Ensure accurate account reconciliations and take appropriate action for any discrepancies.
- Monitor customer accounts and take appropriate action based on account status.
- Process customer credit applications accurately and efficiently.
- Maintain accurate customer credit records.
- Candidate must have a strong background in Monthly Close procedures
- Experience in Annual External Audit is required
- Proficiency in Accrual Accounting is a must
- Demonstrated ability in Account Reconciliation is essential
- Knowledge and experience in managing Fixed Assets is necessary
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel is required
- Experience in using ProContractor software is a plus
- Familiarity with Viewpoint Vista software is beneficial
- Candidates must have excellent communication and organizational skills
- A bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field is required
- Previous experience in a managerial role in the Accounting field is advantageous
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills are necessary
- Must have a high attention to detail and accuracy in work.
