The Role : Our site in Bedford is seeking an Operations and Process Engineering Co-Op to join our team for the Spring 2025 season.
This assignment is intended to be 6 months in duration. This role will aid the process engineer in driving process improvements, maintaining SOPs and training, and supporting the day-to-day troubleshooting and work on the line.
Typical improvement efforts will improve quality, drive down cost and / or increase output.
What You'll Do :
- Develop plan for updating SOPs and implementing training for all operators
- Data mining and analysis in Minitab
- Make conclusions and recommendations based on data analysis
- Perform yield analysis
- Participate in Gemba walks and look for lean and safety improvements
- Perform membrane characterization testing
What We Seek :
- Data-driven and hands-on approach
- Proficient in Excel
- Ability to complete tasks in a timely manner
- Working towards a degree in chemical, mechanical, industrial or similar engineering
Outstanding Candidates Will Have :
- Knowledge of Minitab or willingness to learn
- Curiosity, asking questions, and providing your input to the team
- Ability to drive tasks independently and work in a team environment
Desired Major(s) & Graduation Year : Chemical, Mechanical, Industrial, or other engineering degree
