About The Position
Weekly Pay Range - $3074 To $3415 Job Title : Registered Radiologic Technologist Job Specialty : Invasive Cardiology and Radiology Job Duration : 16 weeks Shift : Days;
Monday to Friday; 4x10-hour shifts Guaranteed Hours : 40 hours per week Experience : Preferred - 1 year as a general radiographer License : IEMA Radiography License Certifications : - BLS (American Heart Association)- ACLS (American Heart Association)- Radiography (R)(ARRT) Must-Have : Patient care skills- Radiologic technologist experience- Radiology expertise- Imaging skills- ACLS certification Job Description : Assume responsibility for patients within a designated timeframe and provide care, specifically in the Invasive Lab.
- Assist physicians in all procedures and provide essential services to patients and the team.- Administer contrast material when applicable and respond to hypersensitivity or allergic reactions.
- Anticipate set-up and needs for invasive procedures and assist with inventory and supplies management.- Verify correct patient and chart identification, diagnosis, and treatment position.
- Compile pertinent clinical information related to lab and pathology.- Administer medication within the scope of practice and document accurately.
- Explain procedures to patients, ensuring comfort, support, safety, and confidentiality.- Perform all essential functions of an Invasive Lab Radiologic Technologist and be adaptable to various shifts as assigned.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.- Demonstrate competence in operating imaging, physiological monitoring, and related equipment, and perform basic troubleshooting.
- Work around and maintain a sterile field during procedures.- Administer and withhold contrast and treatment as appropriate, assessing patients for allergies.
- Function as a scrub and monitor technician on a rotating basis during procedures.- Assist physicians during interventional procedures.
- Capability to take call after six months of orientation.- Possess the capacity to learn and retain information regarding patient care and procedures.
- Communicate effectively, follow directions, and complete detailed work accurately.- Demonstrate compassion and manual dexterity to handle small supplies.
